Committee on the standard "Halal" in the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Tatarstan created in 2005 to oversee production and marketing of halal products in the territory of Russia.

Committee on the standard "Halal" in the DUM RT and JSC "National certification methodical center of Tatarstan (certificate of the State Standard) have been developed General requirements for the production and sales of products labeled (HALAL).

The Regulations set requirements as to the ingredients used in the manufacture of products "Halal" as well as personnel, production facilities, vehicles, tools, clothing, packaging and labeling, as well as the requirement to order the inspection for compliance with product standards of Islam.

Based on the Regulations approved by all manufacturers, enterprises, trade and catering, implementing halal for Muslims, the Committee on Standards "Halal" in the DUM RT asked to confirm that their product norms of Islam and to obtain certificates of their halal products. With this certificate the manufacturer receives the right to mark manufactured products bearing "Halal".
