Back in 1965, Nasi Ayam Hainan Chee Meng Bukit Bintang was known as Chee Meng Kai Fun which was just a little hawker stall along Old Klang Road, ran by husband and wife serving chicken podridge. After nearly 40 years of hard work and dedication, Nasi Ayam Chee Meng Bukit Bintang has become what it is today, a generic chicken rice shop for the Klang Valley community. The name 'Chee Meng Kai Fun' which means 'bringing up a new name' came from the founder, great grandfather.
In 1988, Chee Meng Kai Fun was officially registered under 'Nasi Ayam Hainan Chee Meng Bukit Bintang'. Due to the over-whelming responds from our loyal customers in Klang Valley area, we have catered another branch in Bukit Bintang to serve and make them happy.
Here at Nasi Ayam Hainan Chee Meng Bukit Bintang, we assure our customers with the best food and services, with over 40 staffs working under the two restaurants. The ingredients used for our food are our own special concoction and spices. From time to time, we will come up with additional new dishes to add on to the varieties and currently, our most sellable dishes are items such as the Thai Style Mango Salad, Thai Style Chicken Feet, Sambal Prawn, Sambal Squid and Fried Dumpling to name a few.
In year 2002, we have shifted to 50, Jalan Bukit Bintang to our own property from the previous rented location at 95, Jalan Bukit Bintang near Bukit Bintang Plaza after 15 years of our business operation. The picture on the right shows our new location and as a mark of stable business establishment throughout the years of operation.
The continous over-whelming support from our customers lead to the opening of another two more branches in year 2005 to cater the capacity of our customers. The two new branches are strategically located at Plaza Damas (Sri Hartamas) and Desa Pandan for the convenience of our customer with ample parking spaces, please refer to the locations page for maps.

Quality Control via Central Kitchen : Nasi Ayam Hainan Chee Meng has a central kitchen to better control the consistency and the quality of food produced. The purpose of the central kitchen is to produce consistent, high quality products like marinating spices, gravies, sauces and etc.
